Executive Summary of the Report

Full Report of the Business Engagement in Social and Economic Inclusion Research Project

CSR Social and Economic Inclusion Model

The Executive Summary is a reasonably fast read and provides (I hope) a good encapsulation of the key strategic issues and recommendations.

As the full Report is quite long with a lot of attachments and exhibits you may be a bit overwhelmed.  However the actual written report is 39 pages, although it also contains a lot of background material on the project and research methodology.  Aside from the Background section, I would recommend you may want to focus on the following sections of the Report, which deal with the key issues and detailed recommendations:

  • Section VI - PRIMARY RESEARCH KEY FINDINGS, page 19.  This section summarizes all the primary research. Hoepfuly you will find it both interesting as well as revealing to compare the research findings to your own company’s situation.
  • Section VIII - RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SUSTAINABLE MECHANISMS AND PROCESSES TO INCREASE BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT IN SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC INCLUSION, page 35.
  • Also, you may want to take a close look at the proposed MODEL, section VII, starting on page 30, in the Report, or you download a PDF copy (above) of the excerpt from the Report with just the commentary and the Model itself.

Another interesting read is the SUMMARY OF CONCLUSIONS REGARDING THE CSR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC INCLUSION POLICIES AND PRACTICES OF THE 10 CORPORATIONS REVIEWED DURING THE SECONDARY RESEARCH PHASE, starting on page 11.  This summarizes public record research for large companies which you may also find interesting to compare to your own company’s situation – particularly the last paragraph on page 15.

The blue coloured hyper-links in the PDF documents [such as the Table of Contents] are all “live” – just click on the link to jump to that section of the Report.
